  1. Need help!

I'm afraid I agree with Jabo.
  2. Pelt or M.F. or Akro?

Not seeing slag. I'm going with WV swirl.
  3. Master or Akro?

Not Master. Eye lashes do lean towards Akro.
  4. Mostly Pix - Peltier

Cheese -- I've got a fellow collector friend who's dying to find another Toucan. There has *got* to be more out there. Repost of my pair.
  5. Mostly Pix - Peltier

Took this photo for another forum, but thought I should post it here also. Four early Peltier NLR swirls. All just under 7/8. Little Superboy is just under 5/8 for comparison. A Spiderman, a wannabe Flaming Dragon, a Rebel and a Ketchup and Mustard.
  6. A group of contemporaries in my collection. Love the Kitty at the top.
  7. Late to the party. Your Blue Sky is in fact a Blue Sky and I'm pretty certain your Coral is an Alley Coral. Transparent base or opaque? This matched set of Ravens I acquired more than 15 years ago. Fourth and Sixth columns are the most common brown-based Blue and Green swirls. The second column seems to be much harder to find.
  8. Mostly Pix - Alley

So... Here you go. A bit of color.
  9. Mostly Pix - Alley

Actually, that's a great idea. I'll find something colorful and post another.
  10. Mostly Pix - Alley

Back in the first part of January, I posted an Alley grey and white flame. I thought it was pretty unusual and didn't expect to find a twin for some while. Two days ago another came into my possession. First one on the left and new one on the right. And this is *not* a black and white photo.
  11. This showed up in the mail today. Described as a Czech Purple/Yellow Guinea. Transparent purplish/pinkish base and yellow ribbons. Pretty obvious bullet mold. Kind of small at 17/32.
  12. Czech Bullet Mold

I *really* don't consider mine to be a Guinea. Seller used the phrase to make the sale. Still think it's a pretty cool bullet mold marble.
  13. Found a box for twins

Collecting twins can be fun. Adds another level to the collecting. Especially if you end up some harder to find orphans.
  14. Mostly Pix - Alley

Not the brightest Alley Flame in my collection. Still I kind of love it.
  15. Guess I'll pile on to. Think they're both Alley. First on just doesn't have a CAC feeling for me.
  16. Mostly Pix - M. F. Christensen & Son

MFC Tornado. Digging through my junk box this slag appeared. A kind of weak '9', but one heck of a tornado down through the center of the marble.
  17. What is a "snotty" CAC?

Hmm?? Never backlit the blue one before, but it does appear to have blue glass mixed with clear. Unfortunately I won't be making Canton this year - or probably any year.
  18. What is a "snotty" CAC?

Guess I'll add to the list. First one was ID as a CAC Snotty and second was ID as CAC Blue Snotty.
  19. Mostly Pix - Peltier

Another pair of Peltiers that I didn't think I'd see. These seem to be pretty HTF. New one on left.
  20. Mostly Pix - Alley

Tentatively IDed as Alley. Pretty marble whatever.
  21. This came in the mail today. Kind of boring, don't you think? But add a back light and suddenly it's not so boring.
  22. Mostly Pix - Alley

The Blues A couple of marbles from Alley's Blue line from their time in Pennsboro. Left is a Blue Lady and right is a Blue Sky. The Blue Sky has some rust staining that I need to take care of, but I've got another on the way that's clean and mint.
  23. Mostly Pix - Peltier

A few twisty MCS. These were in a 20 marble group I just acquired. I do love these early twisty MCS.
  24. Mostly Pix - Peltier

Cheese over on AAM decided they looked like "Toucans". I like the name and until someone wants to fight me, they are so named.
