Veiligglas sold their marbles by number with a special shovel.

It's possible that different companies packed the marbles, because they exported their marbles to different country's.

Here are a few examples with marbles that could be made by Veilgglas.

The speculation continues LOL.

I don't understand why nothing is known by the chambre of commerce of Amsterdam

Great Winnie,i knew with time that you would be the link. It has been lots of years coming. Just saying german machine made always left a big ? with me. It is a great start and hopefully more will follow. THANK YOU for your effort !!!!!!!!!! Also many Thanks to Veiligglas for any information and details. Some credit now goes to the correct manufactuer and people.

Is it not possible that there was also a German manufacturer of this type marble. It also seems like a lot of assumption from a bad picture in a newspaper. Just more ??????? for me. Sure would like to see some Dutch packaging or some marbles from the site.

The marbles in post #24 are from that site.

They were found there by digging during the urban renovation.

I suppose Germany has made machine made swirls at least before WW11,although i've never seen them packed made in Germany,so i can't be sure.
