Thanks for any help.

THink it is a corn husk....
The Mad Hatter: "Have I gone mad?"
Alice: "I'm afraid so. You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are."

Thank you. The reason I asked is that Paul Baumann suggests there is a difference between a Cornhusk and a colored glass overlay. His book "Antique Marbles" pg.41 contains that discussion. I'd like to read comments on that difference.
Thank you for any help.

Bermar, Jill is correct and it is a handmade antique corn husk. Chuck G--

Hi Burt, I hope you know me well enough to know that hand-mades are not my strength, so please take this for what it's worth. This is not what I usually think of when I think "Cornhusk". I was under the impression that the white ribbons on cornhusks are just below the surface of the glass. The ribbons on yours appear to be laid on the surface (maybe not white either). And when I consider the twist in the ribbons too (I don't think the husks rotate that much), I would guess it is a colored glass overlay type.
. . . there is always a chance that I'm clueless.

Chuck and Ric, thank you for your input. Ric, your thoughts parallel Paul Baumann's. I have had many Cornhusks and
this one seems different as your discription suggests. At first glance one would think Cornhusk, but colored glass overlay
seems to be most correct. I like the ghost core in this one also.
Thanks.

I meant to mention that too . . . . long day.
I also like the peachy-amber looking base glass. Does it really have a pinkish tint?

Ric, a peachy amber, but I wouldn't say pinkish. It may be the reflection of the bands makes it appear so.
