This is what I came up with so far.
david

http://www.ebay.com/...984.m1555.l2649
It would help if you flag the listing to watch! In your ebay
Most Watched would put it at the bottom of most marble listings!

how the fees shape up - per $27 item.
ebay - $2.97
paypal - $1.08
total - $4.05 they get thiers, but the ease and exposure!
shipping - (.0) I will mail a header to everyone who stated keep the marble, and a (as picture) to everyone else.
about $22.95 should get thru (I have a commitement by ebay to reduce fees??,, I dont know how much and it may be at conclusion of auction------we'll see)

I didn't really have a chance to read the whole thing this morning, David... There's no need to send anything to me, either. Keep 'em rollin'!!
Please put the shipping $ towards fees...

Cheryl, I'm so glad you made it here!! Thanks so much for all your doing!!

No need to send mine either. Good job David! Lets keep it rolling!
There are 3 types of people in this world, those who can count and those that can't.

US Govt survey shows three out of four people make up 75% of the total population .

18 sold, I bought mine this morning, dont send anything to me david, thanks for doing this. Everyone spread the word, It's a 25.00 donation and 25.00 can go a long way when you are struggling.

Bob Block, anyway you can send out a mass mailer to your customer list about this donation?

Smitty or Brian, anyway you can get some word out at the show in canton?

A envelope with jus the bag and Header could ship for .44, and you could pack your own marble? We are collectors after all.
I havent been to the post office yet but I think the thickness (over 1/4")with marble, will make the mailer around .75. edit: turns out the thickness makes it a Parcel and listing quote was right on. $1.95

I am currently On Hold with ebay - try'n to get fees waved or reduced!

checked into missionfish - dont qualify and cant move funds untill listing ends.

let ya know how it goes.

david, make sure you clear the listing w/ ebay and paypal so they dont decide to freeze your account and funds. Paypal is famous for doing such crazy things.

David, could I just send money to you through PayPal and dispense with the pretext of buying a marble?

actually paypal has a nice wideget that could be added to this site, and it would keep track of all the donations. The donations could be sent directly to alan if that is the way he wants it.

I was talking with bill last night romanoak he he had mention direct to alan and was going to check in with Cherly....

still on hold with ebay 1:35 min...

If anyone can set a more direct path less fees post it..

No edna I want to keep it at one location - lets check and see if it can go straight to alan if not we will do something diff. But that reduces the largest amount of fees and only leaves $1.08 at paypal!!!

stillon hold been dropped 3 time

More direct for those with info..good idea!
The listing was meant as a broad stroke

I can feel the community energy building
together we will find the path.

It's possible to use Alan's Paypal address in your auction... That's what I do for the Alphabet Letter Contest @ Glass Addiction... I run the auctions, but the money goes direct to Brian Bowden.
I posted info at GA.

Hey David:

Bill (Warren not Romanoak) here. Cheryl did email back to me last night regarding the possibility of making direct PayPal payments to either Alan's or her account. She is looking into possibility, but Alan is now not able to go on line or check emails, etc. Cheryl advised she would get back to me to confirm if we can make that work.

Bill
