please, as I have said before, NOTHING in my name...Alan's name only...also, his parents just moved here and do not have a bank acct. yet...we are working on it! any and all donations and proceeds of any sales will got to Alan to pay his expenses, and then to his parents. Period. all I hope to receive in assisting Alan in his time of need is time-with him. he's a grand feller...

45 sold = $1,100

If you can't do the ebay listing we have setup for donations you can use the mailing address:

Send gift cards, $5.00 anything, If sending a check make it out to Alan's name

It would help if you flag the listing to watch! In your ebay.

Plenty of sales and views but its not coming up in the "most watched" viewings..
Which would put it at the bottom of most marble listings!

The listing has been viewed 531 times but only 18 watchers (we're watching here). edit: up to 46
We can hope, more are coming here and taking more direct methods.

Good Job Everyone
david

Greg's a mite persistant as well, thanks.

Any of the more info'ed ebayers know a way to petition ebay for a larger fee reduction on this listing??

Just a thought! Alan's auction site must be save as a best seller by thousands of marble collectors, which many may not know of his condition. Maybe friend/s of Alans could raise donations for his cause using Alans well know ebay account. I know when you send payment through paypal there is a way to give payment as a gift and they don't charge the paypal fee. Hope this is helpful.

Good thought but thinking it one step further.........is there a way to somehow set up a "link" within Alan's eBay listings web page directly to David's auction?? Not a seller on eBay so I don't know the ins and outs of what is possible. I assume it would have to be done in conjuction with some help from Cheryl/Alan.

Absolutely, Cheryl!!! I know it's kind of a crazy suggestion... But, I'd rather put it out there, than find out after the fact that you had to put them somewhere you weren't entirely happy with...
We regularly take in transports from NC, KY, AL & even Los Angeles (We are part of the "Flying Chihuahuas Program) So, it's not all that insane!! LOL But, finding homes near you would certainly make more sense, if it's possible.
Knowing how much Alan cares about his animals, I'd drive all the way to Florida, rather than see them face uncertainty.

As I have posted before, Alan is not able right now to sit at the computer and do anything with paypal...this is why I advised sending him checks or gift cards...I can get him to endorse checks then deposit them for him...and his parents can easily use the gift cards day-to-day...I know this may be less efficient than using his paypal acct., but it is what will work for Alan now-Cheryl

Alan had a pretty good weekend, eating and drinking and sitting up some with visitors....I will continue to share good wishes...

again, IF you have consignments to him, please send me name, item descriptions, your address, e-mail, phone # if you want and I will make every effort to return them. Be patient, it is slow going, there are hundreds!

At 53 I spend a fair amount of time in search of Facts. Pure 100% fact.
I have none to share!! None!!

But I know this
Your message's and support have lifted Alans Spirits and Your Energy is his.

60 sold $1500 -gross + (berts) $225 == $1725 - this evening a tally will move money from paypal to my Bank(2days) then a certified check will be forwarded to Alan --per Cherlys and mine agreement.

edit
Bert just made the $225 gift to my paypal(as a gift, no fees) for Alan, sent Alan a check for $1000 in Dec. and purchased a "Alans Marble"

If the discussion is marble Gaints, better start there!!!

Edna turns out direct to my paypal, is by far most efficient. But it makes tracking by others than me more difficult -not comfortable with that.
burt didnt ask (lol) thats fine hes burt.
Direct to Alan thru Contact info now supplied by Cheryl works best.

In the past, there have been many comments made about Bert's business... Yep, he IS unconventional!!! LOL
But, ya know... When it matters, he is SO THERE!!!
Few will ever know how many random checks he has sent out to people in need.....
