Boulders

tough call with the literature as the same names were used for marbles of both "types". I do not remember reading anything that made a distinction when the 4 ribbon simpler style was started. Many NLRs were only 4 ribbons so it is a tough call????? Maybe Mike has some gems of information from material I missed. (fingers crossed)

I really like Bo's silvery gray and crystal mib.

There's something about 'monochrome'.

This may have something to do with my several

decade affair with Tri-X black and white film.

Also, with this particular marble, those of you

who have bears as their 'spirit animal' will see

a friendly bear-face saying "Hi! How're you doing?" ( :

I found it along with some other nice ingots and a few marbles in southern Illinois quite a few years ago. It's amazingly round other than a smooth nub and if you study it a bit you can pick out the six marbles that make it up.

Mike, that tunnel look on your K&M is something else.

Am I seeing Peerless Patch boulders up there?

Bill, thank you for the underwater picture. Looks like a sea creature. Very interesting.

Thanks for the Bennie, Bumblebee. I have some clays I could fish out. But mostly I wish I could find the long ago article which described a game they played with boulders a hundred years ago.

Oh, and Steph...a few seem to be peerless patches....in the Acme Realer thread there was mention of a one inch one with a blue, green and yellow patch...

this may be the peerless .98" version...
