Narrow, about 12" with a zig-zag thingy in the middle. Should have asked to get it out and take picture. Also saw 2 carpet balls, $9 a piece, not a ding on them so passed them by. Would be sad to miss out on real antique ones just because they were in pristine condition, but good chance they were reproduction.
