Help Possibly Akro??

It matches the requirements for a "Ringer".

A Ringer is a mysterious marble since we're not aware of Akro ever making quite that style on purpose.

But a Ringer is a corkscrew and it is like a Popeye, but with white and one other color in a clear base. (A Popeye has white and two other colors in a clear base.)

Does the name "Ringer" refer more to the game and the box the marbles were packaged in, rather than the marbles themselves? Did all Ringer boxes have the same type of marbles?

Of course you are correct. And I'm pretty sure different marbles came in the Ringer boxes.

Just saying that if there was ever a marble which fit the collector's Ringer description, Alex's marble does. :)

Alex, here is my take on the akro "Ringers". With various examples akro produced the corkscrews and along with that, they made patches that matched the corkscrews color combo. I have examples of these which match exactly on the colors. One of these is a purple "Ringer" with the patch marble that matches the "Ringer".

Akro"Ringers"-a cloudy transp/transl base with (some) white whispyness and one single color, (mostly) opaque cork.

I do have some (opinions) towards these and gonna wait till more provinance "rolls' out that is correct. I do remember a photo of a box of akro "Ringers" and maybe someone will post this photo for us. Certain "Ringer" colors are a bit harder to find than some of the regular colors. Hope this helps. I like Steph consider single color with white stringers and a clear transparent base "Ringers". Or desribed as a single color Popeye type. it is a collectors term that apparently means different marbles to different people

Didn't akro call them onyx? I have seen tri-onyx when referring to a popeye
