Lawrence Glass Novelty Company: From The Ground

Ric

Recommended Posts

Here is a selection of Alley Agates from the Lawrence Glass Novelty Company site in Sistersville WV. One hundred and forty-four different marbles are shown (sizes vary considerably). Please excuse the dirt, out of rounds, as-mades and poor photos. All of these marbles were dug. Enjoy!

This is very helpful.  Clear photos, clear arrangement and the numbers rule! After several runs over these over the last two days, I'd have to say for me the standout mib is #109...so distinctive. The serpentine drizzle in #125  is so amazing I can barely stand it. Oh heck, they are all great in their way.  In particular, it was way helpful to see some of those verified transparent swirls near the end. This post helps me with a good number of swirls I've been working with in the collection.  Thanks Ric!   John

OK, these are the ones I think you should send me for further study:

1, 2, 28, 34, 39, 40, 46, 48, 52, 61, 94, 97, 102, and 106.

That should get me started . . .

#1,#2,#62 #95 This clears up a lot of questions for me.
I really appreciate the effort and I hope that @Steph will have permission to put these where they belong—in the “Study Hall”.
Great job Ric!!

Oops--maybe I missed it--I am an Akronaut--still a great group and worthy of the "Study Hall".

I am guilty of not looking at dates, sizes--descriptions---lol:rolleyes:.
