Looking for Marble holder

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks,

Could anyone recommend a marble holder for each individual marble?  Would like to find something to store marbles in without scratching them.  Then to open up the case for show.  Does such an item exist?  Thanks ahead of time.  Looking forward to hearing from you.

I have a lot of little baggies, down in the 2" x 2" range.  (Sometimes go down to 1.5", sometimes up to 3".)  They can be found on ebay for about a penny apiece.

When I'm most concerned about their safety, that's how I store them.

AND I do have some marbles in cases. But I'm still struggling with how to store quite a few in a case, without having them knock, and still having them as viewable as I want them.

Like Dennis, I sometimes use gun cases with foam inside.

Also, I have picked up some glass top cases which I line with bubble wrap on the bottom.  Then I put bubble wrap on top of the marbles before I close, because I don't want the glass marbles rubbing on the glass top.  So I can't see them great when closed, but I can see a little through the glass top.

Probably not a helpful picture since I cropped out most of the box.  But it was handy. :)

Try using flower frog holders. They can be bought for around $5.  Also antique solitare game boards really work well. They are a little more expensive but hold up to 33 marbles.

I usually take a few to shows and sell them any ware from $75 to &125 depending upon the size and decoration.
