Paperweight Maker?

Recommended Posts

Yup, I figured if she did it would have been posted in the listing. Interesting piece something about it caught my eye. This is all that was in the description...

Sulfide press paper 1910
Included chiseled cross on red bed
Diameter 8 cm (3.15 ") height 5.5 cm (2.16") weight 550 grams
Good condition.

press-paper (missing the accent marks) is French for paperweight.

The weight is not French. The color of the frit indicates the weight is Bohemian, Silesian or Czech (that general area). Early 1900s looks like the correct date

Perfect. Thanks
