  2. Just taking a nap here. I couldn’t help it, this marble just looked like an eye closed to me, and so I played around and flipped it. I do not know which set of images was better so I posted both sets. Blue Oxbloods are real sleepers. They usually need to be lit-up with some form of artificial light to really be revealed. This is my best shot of one yet. This one revealed itself better than most do. Marble—On!!

  10. Hi - I'm feeling guilty since promising in 2018 to post some more examples from my collection of turned board games, it's taken 3 years!!! So here's a couple of incredibly rare Victorian boards by F H Ayres - the 81 hole 9 x 9 and the 49 hole 7 x 7 sets dating to around 1860-1880 I believe. They both take small marbles - around 9/16" for the 9 x 9 and 1/2" the 7 x 7. Unlike most of my boards, the marbles are not original to the sets sadly. But I've filled them with some of my favourites from my stash. The 9 x 9 is all onions with the odd Joseph. The 7 x 7 includes fairly common pee wee swirls, mica etc. But there's a cloud, a gooseberry, 3 naked ribbons (2 same cane), a Joseph, 2 same cane red latt ribbons a red latt, a 3 stage caged orange and white latt, 2 Indians, and 2 same cane alternating blue/white latts. Hope you like the pics. Ask me any questions and I'll try not to take another 3 years to put some more up!! Cheers Dave

  11. How about a marble/ tree combo that also describe an activity; I occasionally get "spruced up".

  12. Here are my two Marble pals, Sluggo and Luigi. Sluggo—the tan one, has been known to find any marble that I drop—I really have to watch because I am an oaf when it comes to handling marbles. Luigi is just the loyal “always there” dog that anyone would love. Marble—On!! and “Marble pal” on as well!!!

  13. They are still out there---a recent acquisition. They are all really “Killers” The second image shows some "What ,are you Kidding" marbles. Sorry for the images once again because it seems that Akro Friday always is overcast here in Wisconsin—four weeks in a row at least. Marble—On ---and keep the Hunt --on as well!!!

  18. "Happy Peltier Tuesday" At under the half inch Pee-Wee mark. A couple marbles I thought I'd never own. Two Peltier Wolverines & a Pee Wee Christmas tree. I was gifted this one as well as another along w/ a Pelt Pee-Wee transparent Christmas tree from 2 different "Marble Friends" I couldn't believe it. Both types were supposedly "Lunchbox" marbles and not production. I am grateful as well as humbled by my "Marble Friends" some beautiful marbles that will never be sold and are among my most valued possessions. The first Wolverine I got, in the box it came in the mail in. Both Wolverines are duplicates of each other & spotless wet mint. I can't tell them apparat ?? So a measurement and a pic w/ their namesake. I know I've posted all these before but this probably isn't the last time either. Both Wolverines along w/ the Christmas Tree. I have never met either of my "Marble Friends" and probably never will !! Never the less I treasure their Friendships immensely. Not because of the marbles, their just pieces of glass, but because even though we've never met they thought enough of me to call me their "Friend"

  20. "Happy Monday" Colors plus the streak of oxblood make this a Kato. I've never seen one in hand, only in pictures, but certainly a unique example with some classic MK colors thrown in. Looks like an old-school patch & ribbon style to "me" also ?? A you can see there have been many years of dispute over the actual base & or ribbon colors, oxblood content etc... Thanks & appreciation given to our Brothers & Sisters @ AAM for the pic. 40. Do not fool yourself; this is the place to be regardless of any others on any other site. Post and be rewarded with the very best opinions of your marbles that any place on this planet will provide. The amount of time that this post board has been one the web speaks volumes. The people that are committed to this site are the very best that you will ever meet or talk to person to person. There is no drama here, only the very best opinions of what may be or may not be. Marbles and other glass items are always regarded with the expertise that you may expect from any high end or newbie collector that is willing to share the opinions that they have learned from the experience and research that they have acquired over the years. I have been collecting marbles for over 25 years and still learn much from this site. I will continue to support this site with posts and any cash that will help to keep it alive. It is the best, bar none. Marble---on--- and support on as well!!
