HI :) I found a pot full of marbles in a charity shop this week, and although it was the pot I wanted, the marbles have interested me more! I'm completely new to this though and need some help, please.

Most are clear glass, either 15/16" or 3/4" in size, and each have two 'smiles' (seams?). Are these new/modern?

Two are more interesting. The smaller one (11/16") has a ridge around the circumference. Am I right in thinking it's a 'bullet mold' marble?

The larger one has a green/off-white ribbon running through it. This is the one I need most help with. It is 15/16" (24mm) in size, and has lots of bubbles. Any idea of age, type etc would be much appreciated!

Yes the one with the central ridge and rough spot is a bullet mold. They were commonly used as bottle stoppers in 'Codd bottles'.

The striped one could be a Dutch wirepull (Veligglas) 50's ish. I suspect the others are more modern.

Welcome to the site.
