I just wanted to take a minute to introduce myself.  My name is Denise & I'm new to the site & totally new to marbles.  A few years ago, my husband inherited a small collection of marbles from his father.  Unfortunately, they came by way of his brother, who removed them from their individual (identified) bags & put them in a metal tin along with his own marbles, which is how we received them.
I'd like to re-identify some of them, if possible & thought I might be able to get some help here.  I've spent some time researching marbles on the internet & even bought a book, but it's all too obvious that getting to know marbles is less book learning & more experience.
I don't think there's anything very valuable in the collection, but I do think there might be some older pieces.  I've read your photo tips & am working on getting some decent photos to post in the Marble ID forum. See you there!
