I didn't score any marbles today, but had to have this unique 1940's toy. Original box, papers plus the toy itself is in excellent shape. Great story too. Vintage at it's best! 😁

Today's bounty for tomorrow's salsa! And there will be at least two more waves of tomatoes in this quantity before it starts slowing down...

Well, up at 5AM, today is canning day! Boil all jars, boil the tomatoes for skinning, chop up all the peppers available with the garlic, onion and other goodies and put together some Salsa! Full morning. After that, going to start prepping everything for the Mississippi river Sunday morning! Decided I was going to try out one of the vintage "River Runt" lures before hitting the bottom out deep. Heddon power! Looking forward to seeing Captain Tom and his weathered face pull up in the skiff :pirate:

Ready too peel the boiled tomatoes, mix with the diced up peppers (jalapeno, sweet banana, sweet apple), fresh onion I just picked up from an Amish homestead, and garlic. Have too mince up the fresh oregano and cilantro now too add too the mix. First batch enough for maybe 8 quart jars. :confetti:

Patty had her sister stop by for a visit this afternoon, along with her nephew Toby (who I gifted a jar of mibs too a week ago) and her niece Emily. They hung out for a few hours playing bags and visiting, and when I got home from work, they had just picked a bunch of veggies too take home with them. Emily picked a couple of giant tomatoes, the bigger one weighing 1.6 pounds (pic taken with a penny too show actual size) 😳...

Not really considered an "interest" per say, but bought a couple of $5 scratchers and hit a decent one

Congrats, a pretty good return on investment, for this ticket, anyway.

Lol, right! We decided to play $40, keep $60. Out of the $40 played, won $27 back. Sitting at $87 with a $67 profit and standing pat 😊

This little town of less than 1,000 residents has had it's share of big winners over the years, the biggest ones being a local girl fresh off too college about 8 years ago hit $30,000 on a $3 ticket, and she rarely played scratch offs! Couple years before that an older gentleman hit $500,000 here on a $20 scratch off (I think for that game there were less than 10 available to win in the whole state). Bad thing was, he was a horrible gambler. His house and property were in a shambles as he spent Hundreds every week. He passed not too long after that win, leaving his only relative, a nephew, with his personals. Not sure what the man had too his name, but the house and buildings on his property have been torn down and replaced with metal sheds and a storage building. I actually remember, when he won that money, he became irate when he discovered that he wasn't getting the WHOLE 500k. State and Federal then were about 32.5 percent I believe. What made him madder was the fact that the store he bought it from received a "royalty" if you will from the lottery office. He thought that should be his too and went to the store and made a scene, after which he was permanently barred from entry!
