Good eye Ric,

It is starting to look like a corkscrew. I already ate it and it does not taste like one.

Fiber--On!!!

I ate a few marbles when I was a kid - they look pretty cool on x-ray film.

And I got 'em back a few days later.

This is the best example of what I have seen in my hand of what has been discussed on this board in previous posts/years behind us. An Opaque Sparkler.

I know what many will think—but the colors are obvious to me. It is ¾” and really a very nice example of a larger Akro Agate Sparkler. I wish that the sun was out today to get a better group of images. This is what I could provide to the best of my abilities today.

Sparklers—On and marble –On as well!!!

It is a dandy marble and, at 3/4", it's a rare one.

Happy Akro Friday. These are some of the first known box of Akros from Clarksburg to my knowledge from Roger Hardys collection that I took a photo of a few weeks ago (not in his book). They are extremely extremely extremely HTF. Probably have a better chance of getting hit by lightning than finding one of these in the wild.

About 20+ years ago, Roger Hardy sold "Opaque Sparklers" that he purchased directly from a former Akro Agate employee who thought them special and took some home.  What Roger had for sale of these were all mint since they went from the production floor to the employee's home.  I am fairly certain Roger sold these at only one New Philly show and not again.  He didn't have all that many.

That's a nice story about some really great marbles!

Do you think the likelihood that these two marbles were made during different runs is low enough that you'd be comfortable calling them "same run" marbles?
