I think the veneer is so thick that they seem opaque up to the light . . . or . . . they are opaque with a gray base. I show the seams pretty good. One is about 5/8ths, the other slightly smaller. The brightest picture is closest to the color, the others show more detail. I should go wash that dirt or rust off them. Please help, these are really neat in my eye. Thank you!
