This sight has some great pictures, Ron. The first set of 4 shows it.
-
Ron, is one of the pontils (the third picture) ground?
-
This isn't my area, but I'll run "contemporary" up the flagpole and see if anyone salutes it.
-
If they're like this one I keep it.
The glass drizzled around it then hardened/
I love this.

A stoned Peltier.

Perhaps my favorites are when MK ran out of purple for their Bumblebees and used other colors. Here's their brown next to a purple.
-
Carole - those two look-alikes (mother/daughter) marbles, are they Parrots? They sure look like it from here.
-
My humble understanding is that a Tiger Eye needs a top patch of a non-white color, bottom patch of white, and two ribbons (patches) forming a band around the center that is of 1 or 2 colors different than the top patch. 2 different colors make a Tiger Eye Tricolor Patch.

Does the size matter for the Pastel ID?
Galen hasn't written the definitive book on marble ID that I've been pestering him to do for years, so it's really anybody's guess right now.
I've only seen Pastels in this size. IMHO size is not a determining factor.

Pretty marbles, Dutch. I didn't know that name.
Not arguing exactly ... or not with you
... just transcribing the debate being held by some of the voices in my head.
WOW - you hear them, too?!?!
Those Pastels are from the same time as the Parrots. The name was given by a collector and is catching on. They're about 3/4" and have translucent "brushed" patches on a clear base.

Soooooo Thennnnn, that would be a way to ID them???
(Not having a clue and so didn't even vote to see what the results looked like!! LOL)
BASE: Translucent off-white opalescent with a swirling look inside.
Base is almost transparent when back-lit.
PATCH: Opaque with “S” shaped edges

I was right !
I was right !!
My convoluted logic worked.
What do I win????
-
I don't see swirling in any base, but I see bubbles in the center and left ones - so I'll guess the right one.
Vitros?

Shine a tiny light from behind #2.
If it's clear glass inside it's a Vitro Tiger Eye.
