  1. Raynsandy All I can tell you is what happened and no air or fuel was changed. Now the environment of the tank must of been just wright or it wouldn't of happened .And it only happened when we dropped in one certian spot and it didn't stay in the tank very long at all .now we've encased larger pieces of goldstone in clear and it didn't help So that leads me to believe time and temperature . but i thank you for your input

  2. I believe that is the box of marbles that sat beside the chair on the left in front of Dave office desk at Jabo. They were from the 2006 one inch run. I believe they were in the first stage of polishing by Dale Simmons. When Dale first started polishing the one inch marbles,he left many as they were after the first stage of polishing. If it is the same box,i was there when Dale gave them to Dave. I heard people say that they look like someone used a dremmel tool on them. Also some said that they looked like they were tumbled. There is usually three stages for polishing with some polishing machines. This was the first stage only and never the final polish. These are most definately not clay marbles. These glass marbles will look fine with a second stage polish and a final polish. Maybe only the final polish? I have no doubts these did come from Daves office and the seller is JoAnn,s grandson. Several of the items in that office were personal gifts to Dave from close friends. Several of the gifts had absolutely nothing to do with the Jabo Company. But they were removed, and being sold. Is the proceeds going to benefit the Jabo Company ?

good to see jabo turning some profit its been awhile
  3. It has come to our attention that Walt McKee states that he is selling off all his JABO'S. I have checked my books and Walt McKee has not purchased any marbles from JABO INC. since 2008. I cannot see how this will hurt us. You don't miss what you never had. I have found a large number of people selling JABO'S and am curious where they were buying them? Joanne Argabrite, President JABO INC.
Sissydear if what Joannes books say are true please tell me how walter could of been selling the contract run marbles at the shows from 2008 till now ? now some of the contract run I can't say not sure but the jabo joker frankies gold metals and the elites runs I know were thay came from Dave received 1/3 of the run by waving the start up fee NOW IF thats the case wouldn't you say Joanne would have or should have that some were in the books I MEAN THE MARBLES WERE MADE AT HER PLANT WRIGHT? tell us please how could he be selling them at the shows and in private with out Joanne having it in the books maybe she didn't know maybe i'm just saying maybe Dave didn't make her aware of the run ? now that would explain it wright ? the picture gets clearer and clearer don't it
  4. I also think we tend to compare many setups to the one at Jabo. The gob feeders are different at MK and were way different at Peltier than the simple hole in the tank they have at Jabo. These others were(are) multiple stream setups and that is what made 99% of the pattern. Different deal with single stream swirls

Yes but I still stike with once it hits the rolls the pattern is set would you agree

  5. they were dug at the paden city turn around dump site....the ones i found were all annealed fractured or half marbles...i think those big +1inch clear patch and ribbon were made bout the same time....just wonderin ....why would you ask that steph....haint this been covered before.....nothin like that were dug at st marys...remember there was a peltier machine used at paden city...i woulkd think it was there because of the fire and its still in use there mostly to make gems....so some paden city marbles differ slightly from the howdyshell machines....and the marbles made on the peltier machine....older mks like very late 50s or early 60s look different than say 63-64 productions because of new machines or different machines....you can see differences like where the ribbons touch or the shape of the patch..or other suptle differences.....maybe those different styles of what ednas callin (and they are)berry pinks were made on different machines there at paden city...

Duff what would make you think a defferent machine would have anything to do with the different style of marble? cutter maybe tank maybe all the machines job is to make the marble round not dicktate the pattern. The pattern is set at the glass stream and cutter.
