Oh dear,
I'm starting to feel bad for my little glass egg from China that someone hand-made only to be sold in a dollar store in the U.S. :-(
Are we absolutely sure that it isn't a 2,000,000 year-old relic that was made by an Australopithecus afarensis as a hand warmer while hunting?
On a more serious note, can you help me with these. They have backwards 6's or 9's on them. Thanks.

oops, I meant Easter eggs....I think....

The three dots means it was produced in 2003. Two dots is 2002, four dots is 2004. I'm not sure if he produced after that.
Thank you very much.

And thank you! I miss my little Big Boy...he's in kitty heaven now. Best cat that ever lived.
It's funny. When I saw that picture, it made me think of my own pet. But she was a dog, and my guess is that now they're both enjoying chasing mice and rabbits. Just hope mine stays away from the skunks. She didn't do well at it down here:-) Fond memories though right? I heard on TV last night that kids laugh an average of 70 times a day and adults twelve. They must not have polled the animal lovers:-)

These are all Mega Marbles. Red/yellow on blue is a serpent and red on green is a ninja turtle. I am not sure about the other names.
Thank you!

Robert Livezey signs his marbles that way (Stardust Glass Studio).
Thank you so much. It was making me nuts!
Pretty cat by the way!

Nice looking mib! What size is it?
7/8"

I think that would be closer to a banded transparent than an Indian.
Thank you.

From the photos - I would say that it is a novice.
Novice photographer. The marbles are beautiful:-)

lol - i wouldn't know anything about that ....
a star followed by 3 dots?
:-) I'm glad that I'm in good company.
That's what it looks like to me too. So the mystery question is....who signs their marbles that way?

Hi,
I have three by this artist, but I can't figure out the name. I'm starting to suffer from marble madness. Magnifying glass in one hand, camera in the other, marbles all over the place, and running from room to room taking pictures before the sun goes down. It is a sight to behold. lol Thanks in advance. I was thinking Thom on the second, too... I love his work!!! I wish he'd sign them!! That one is GREAT!!!
He's very good about keeping them distant enough from the old ones to avoid confusion. But, as other artists come along, his work ends up being questioned like this. It's too good for that!!
His name, signature and marbles should be known!!
If you run into a similar marble with the sig. "N.M." it would be a Nadine MacDonald (she also often, added a date)
The first could also be Thom's... But, I tend to lean towards the polymer clay (FIMO!! LOL)
Galen, I think there are some PC artists that add the clay over a cleary to give it weight.
You folks are wonderful!
I can't find any pin prick marks on it. It has an overall grainy feel to it.

Hello, Wilmena. Welcome.
I'm going to move this over to the main section in the hopes that a contemporary collector might recognize the makers.
Thanks Steph!

They look new to me. They have made new ones with the supposed to be age crackling to try and make it look old. I am sure there are those here that can tell you more than I, on these types.
Nice pics BTW!!
Thanks, and thank goodness for digital cameras.
