I found this marble in the surf on St. Croix US Virgin Islands. Is this called a brick? The color appears to be red with gray and you can not shine a light through.

Any idea the type of marble? We have been told by archeologists that marbles have been found around island and that soldiers dating back to the 1700 -1800's used them to gamble and pass the time.
