It's really a beautiful marble.
-
But I love and collect them all the same. I threw the JABO in for size comparison. Citrine, banded agate, silk agate, sardonyx, and some quartz in each sphere. Cheers!

Beautiful!

Marble is made of calcite crystals (white) and some colored grains of mica inclusions; the grains in a marble are locked together like jigsaw puzzle pieces. Similar.
-
Lots of minerals and other stuff: tiger eye jasper, quartzes, feldspar, milk glass, sardonyx, etc. Nice collection.

These are cool. UV reactive transparent. Melt pontils.

Hmm. I'll have to check again. Thanks for looking. -
Really pretty transparent marbles. Lots of bubbles. Small thumbnail shaped pontils. The little yellow one has no pontil. Biggest 3 are 3/4" Red is a little smaller. And the yellow peewee is 1/2" Under the black light, they all go crazy. LoL. Any ideas on IDs?

One pontil is transitional.👍
-
Does it have a pontil mark? Transitional is the time period between handmade and machine made. There's usually a pontil on one pole of the marble. Can be pinch, thumbnail, regular, etc. Hard to see in pics. Definitely a green slag.

Alley Agate swirl marbles: left to right: butterscotch, butterscotch, butterscotch and root beer brown... Is my guess. Nice marbles. 👍
-
Agreed. Everything looks right. I'm just so hesitant to say.
-
I was thinking Alley on the second as well. Thanks 👍. But the first two aren't new. I got them.from the attic of an old estate. The glass is old, it presents pale peach under the black light. I believe they might be Cairo Purple Lightning. But there are so few resources on Cairo marbles it's hard to know. The search continues.
