  1. They had only one machine that made these in 5/8" so a larger size would have likely been an error. Gw in a larger size regularly go for over 50 on auction.

If you have those in that size that's a good find

I just happened to be going through some marble stuff and picked up up a small box of dug Cairos just now. I opened it and picked out 16 glow worms all 11/16" to 13/16" right off the bat. Who knows how many more there are. Not HTF. At least not in my collection. The one that went over $50 on ebay was not 11/16" though.

I was just curious if it truly is $50 marble. I guess if it sells for that or more then I guess that's what it's worth🔥

Anything over 5/8" is htf for Cairo. They didn't make larger marbles in this kind. Glow worms at 11/16" are vhtf

Difficult to say with certainty based on the photos, but should be opaque with black filaments.  I don’t think it’s oxblood, however.

I am in agreement. Thought it might fit due to floating on the surface of it, not so much black in it or at all

Actually, from MFC, Akro, CAC and Peltier it's near all the same for a 9 swirl is a result of the method used to gather the glass with punty rod. There are a few colors that MFC did not make but amber browns everybody did.

However, this particular 9 shape was found to be pretty regular whenever Hand gathered slags, opaques and others were dug-up about 20 years ago at the Akro plant site. I do not think one could say, every time it's shaped like that, it must be an Akro but, I do that, for the evidence, the odds are higher than others:

interesting! All of these are akro?
