Was going to say Alley on all. But a slightly seedy quality to the white base glass is making me wonder about the Heaton or Cairo Novelty possibility on those two.
Thanks so much Steph

Guineas rarely came in 3/4” size. Usually you see more stretching of the colors and no dark spots in the centers of the color specks in true Guineas. You need to look at a lot of true CAC marbles to appreciate the difference with the many copycats, as they are heavily copied.
Starting from the top the 4th one to the right looks like my marble. And you say “rarely” which means that they do right? And “usually” also means that they do though? Right? I’ll do some more research, and it’s very possible that I just don’t want it to be a reproduction. But it’s also possible that other don’t want it to be genuine as well. I’ve read that CAC’s are known to come in 1 and 2 seams, as well as no seam at all. The colors look right according to the picture you provided and the marvel I pointed out.

It measures .74” and can you please point me in the direction where I can find some information about this as to why your saying what it is and is not.

The red/brown one looks Akro to me.
A question worth asking yourself before you post for ID is, "Does this photo accurately represent what the marble looks like in hand?" Colors can be important for a proper ID and your photos are all we have to go on.
And FWIW, I think this one may be an Imperial too . . . straight on views of both seams are often necessary for proper ID.
Thanks I really appreciate your help

I agree that most are Master but I think that green one may be foreign and the red/brownish one might be Akro and i wonder about the second to last marble too. Straight on views of both seams would be helpful with IDs . . .
Did you mean second to last picture or second to last marble? Because the very last two pictures are of the same marble and the second to last marble is the third picture up from the bottom.

Trilights are Vitro, yours all appear to be Master ??
Roger that, thanks Chad. The opaques are definitely not the same series as the translucent ones I’m assuming.

You want to talk about difficult to photograph marbles I think I found the hardest one yet. This marble has so many bands of flowing colors. Real beautiful in normal light but the magic happens under a black light. Alternating colors of vivid uv reactive blues, purples, greens reds pinks yellow it has everything. And just another one that has me stumped sorry for all the photos, there’s qualities in the marble I was trying to capture and seem to have in pieces in each picture

This one appears to be an Akro---"Cornelian". (not CARnelian)
Rare and hard to get a good image of.
They appear to be quite Opaque in hand--like a "Brick". Back-light them and they will reveal themselves, They are semi-opaque.
These were called “Bricks” by the older—really older collectors—even older than me—lol.
Here are a few better images that I have—most were dug as far as I know. They came in many shades of red from deep almost oxblood looking to a more red-ish that we all know.
They were boxed and sold by Akro as Cornelian-they were the mostly more red variety—with a bit of white—they looked like an opaque slag.
There may be more names for these—I just call them Cornelians—all of them.
Marble—On!!I hope you all understand how badass you are. And I really appreciate your willingness to take the time and provide such a thorough and detailed explanation chalk full of hard fought experience and Knowledge. Really appreciate it. Sorry that I can’t provide the same time of value in return. As of right now I’m just a grasshopper

This marble has me mesmerized it’s absolutely gorgeous. I thought it was Oxblood until I backlit it and well you tell me what you think. Also what the heck is that round object entrapped within. Appears to be same color and size of a peppercorn. This marble was particularly difficult to photograph and get the appropriate color to come through in the picture. The marble is much deeper red than in the picture and the one where it is backlit and looks pink, in person it’s not pink at all it’s a deep red
Does anyone have any interest in paperweights?
