Hi, I registered today as I know absolutely zero about marbles, apart from loving them when I was younger. I bought a shoebox of marbles yesterday at a french 'vide grenier' which literally translates as 'empty attic'. I'm building a small zen type stone garden outside and planned on using them as part of it. I didn't know yesterday what a pontil mark was, I thought lots of them had been dropped and made a dent, but I think there are some pretty old ones in the box. I'm here to learn a bit more about marbles.
