  1. This marble was found during excavation near a home built in 1904. The family immigrated just before the Civil War and the home owner lost a leg in battle. Found near the foundation of a long gone carriage house. I'd love to hear what y'all think on this one.
  2. Thanks. This is the first 1" marble I have found here, so I was curious.
  3. This marble was found in South Central Illinois while excavating an area that may have once been a 19th Century carriage house. The original owner of the property was a German immigrant and Civil War veteran. Curious as to its origin.
