  1. I have joined a number of pages as a very new marble guy. I want to learn to identify marbles, but also, this is a new hobby for me to help me recover from some surgery. This page is the one that have consistently recieved responses to my posts, and never have I felt like I have overstepped. That is a testament to the regulars that monitor and take the time to answer all the people like me. I'm sure it gets tedious when newbies join and ask all the same questions, but the group here are doing a great job. Thank you for making me feel welcome. If at any time I cross the line with too many useless posts, please feel free to reach out and let me know. All the best from this old Canadian newbie!
  2. Another I bought in its own ziplock. I assumed it was a clay, but when I got home, it has some translucency. Any help is appreciated!
  3. I admit I have not even tried to start to identify clays yet but this was in its own ziplock so I grabbed it. Could it be a Bennington?
  4. I went hunting to some antique malls and found a few things that excited me a bit. These were both found in 10.00 jars. They are both best up, but I am really excited to know they are out there to find
  5. I have somebody local that is trying to sell me this lot. I am not good enough to believe a stranger yet, trying to flip something on a know newbie. Are they what he says they are? Thank you
  6. Oh nice. Something new for me to dive into. Are they modern, because the glass does look old?
  7. I really like the look of this one Jabo?
  8. All came in the same jar
  9. Starting to notice this colour a bit more. Now just need to be sure when identifying. Thank you!
  10. Was scanning some new purchases and this guy "looked" at me.
  11. I'm still not sure what is going on. It looks like someone stuck this on after. I don't think it's part of the marble
  12. This shooter was in a lot of other shooters. It has an arrow stuck on it, pointing at something. I'm still learning cut lines and seams, so I don't understand. It is trying to show a seam? The marble looks modern to me Thanks
  13. I picked up a couple of books with a lot of marbles and this book was included. It is signed and numbered, so it's a limited copy. I have no idea how to value something like this. The comps I have seen are all over the map. Any help is very appreciated
  14. They actually almost look hand painted, but I don't think they are
  15. Tomorrow I'll line them up in one picture. Thank you
  16. In one of the jars I bought today, there were a bunch of shooters that looked like this. The glass looks old, but cloudy, and most have just the one colour. Is this some sore of vintage, or nothing at all?
  17. I'm in Canada and use a discount shipper. Think about it, and if you change your mind I can always give you the price shipped
  18. DM me. This one is a bit worn, but I don't date want to polish it in any way. If you're interested, I'm sure we can work something out.
  19. In one of the jars I bought today, this was inside of it. It looks like a dice and I just put it aside. I came back to it, and took the pictures, to notice it says "Made in Czechoslovakia". It seems very old, but not a marble, so I'm not sure anyone can help with this...but it's cool
  20. With the German Swirl, the guy had 3 clay marbles. I have not even started to learn them, but they were inexpensive and I took them. I will get into them at some point, but, is this one anything? I have 2 others that are similar
