The
Mid-Atlantic company was a well-established decorative glass making facility
when it expanded into marble and flat “gems” in 1990.
The marbles and gems were solid colors, sometimes with iridescent
finish, for purposes such as mosaics and flower arranging.
Their first
marbles for play were made in 2001.
These were swirls, many red, white and blue.
Some reports say the run was made to commemorate 9/ll but it probably
occurred during the summer.
Production
numbers are not known but they were limited.
Some of the swirls have an iridescent finish.
