hey all

for whats it is worth i am about 99% certain that is a cullet marble

i have had loads of them in hand and that marble is a dead ringer

looks nice but ground down from a chunk

what are the chances of the run being mostly shooter patches?

it seems to me at least that nice patches would be kinda neat for a change

just a thought anyhow

but whatever you all decide to make i would like to get in on a run if things would work out for me

and i am sure my brother would too

i think pressman bought from alley making your bag not quite right as it looks to have vitros in it

but it looks kinda neat

but the next four have no chance at all at being real

i honestly think the biggest reasons postings are down is that many people myself included are struggling with life in general.

jobs dissappearing at a record pace

economic times are toughest i have ever seen

winter blahs

way less cash flow

marbles ,even though they are nice and all, just are not a top priority

i have trying to "dig" a few up here and there

mainly i lurk around trying to learn a little

i think the board is just fine

that looks a lot like the Eagle Glass factory site in broadway.......

i worked there for a while but alas no marbles as far as i know...

they got bought out a few years back by a European company

kinda neat place though...it was freaking huge ..several blocks worth of Tuna Street

i am looking for the kind that will hold 4 5/8's marbles in a square

with a plastic lid i guess (maybe glass or plexi-glass)

they have red or black felt i guess in the holes

ones that would hold at least 50 or 100 marbles would be best

hey all

i was wondering if when for example they start to fire up the marble runs at jabo

i would guess they at first would run cheaper glass (clear or white) for a short while until the glass and/or the machine gets going right

then they proceed to add the better stuff when all is right

my question is if a person had some quantities of different AKRO cullet and they didnt care too much if it was destroyed trying to do good with it

could it be tossed in the start up in an effort to make some AKRO-JABO combo shooter swirls?????

anyhow thats something i have been tossing around for a while

i dont want to invest a fortune in them

but i would like to display some of my akro stuff in them

the 100 count boxes of 5/8 and the 50 count shooter boxes would be great

i have a lot of the "brain" looking pink ones

and some plain ones as well

not sure about the experimental part of it

but i am 100% sure it is a dug marble

it came out of the second big pile found under the slabs on the city property

i have a couple but there was not many of them found

realy sweet marble though

the diggers dubbed them "oxblood sparklers"

but anyhow one nice marble
