  1. Hi Gary, it's called the "Foxfire" run, not to be confused with firefox. The run was just done on May 14th by myself, Brian Estepp, Lee Linne, Frank Miller, Mike Meade, Russ Kasmar, Paul Kasmar, Steve Olenick, and Rick Hall. I am still going through my share and these are the nicest out of any runs I was involved with earlier, we were trying for brighter colors and achieved our goal. Some look like they are on fire, bright oranges and yellows with flames and some oxblood! I'm sure you will be hearing more about them in the next few weeks. We also did a tank wash the day before. I sent some to bocci to post pics on the boards. I only know of one other run later this month, it all started in May of 2008 and could very well end in May of 2009. What a year!

  2. That's the concept, I've traveled to too many auctions where you end up bidding against absentee bidders or internet bids and you have no idea if those bids are legit. Also, we want people to examine the marbles in hand before they bid and don't want to get involved with mailing them out, waiting for payments to arrive, unhappy purchases etc. Like I said, just a good old fashioned marble auction, they bid and we hand them the marble, and it's done. Every lot sells, even if it is 1 cent!

  3. We have been working to put together a good old fashioned monthly marble auction and it is finally going to happen.

No absentee bids, No internet bids, No buyers premium, No reserves, all sells to the highest bidder! This is our first and we already have consignments set up for many more, including an enormous collection from Illinois (probably in June)

This first auction is Sunday May 3rd

    here is the info

  4. We made those marbles in the wee hours of the morning right at the end of our run, if I remember correctly, only Brian Estepp, Bill Tow, J.H. Miller, and myself were still awake! The "S" is for Smitty. LOL

I have some empty ACE boxes, 6 count and 9 count if anyone is interested. By the time my boxes came, I was sold out of Aces to put in them! (Except, of course, my keepers)

  5. A bunch of us are taking a tour of the Warther Museum on friday morning, it is only a few miles from the hotel.

    here is their website www.warthers.com

And we are only 20 minutes away from the heart of the largest Amish Community. You might google Holmes County Ohio for more info.

New Philadelphia is in Tuscarawas County, Ohio

  6. The Eagles were a very succesful run! Lots of variety and very colorful combinations. One of the top special runs in my opinion. Plus, they will be on an upcoming episode of "Dirty Jobs" with host Mike Rowe

I don't sell on ebay, and have posted on the boards that I have them available at very realistic prices, yet not one person responded to me through the boards!

I was selling them at the Indy show and they sold like hotcakes! I will also be selling them this coming week at New Philly.

If you want to purchase some, simply contact me.

I traded some with Edna through the mail, and she can assure you of the quality.

I will not be online next week because I will be running the New Philly show. You can reach me before monday or after Feb. 7th at [email protected]
