What is the difference with hand made marbles using the torch method vs the tnk method? How do I learn more?

. Tank pieces are generally more costly than torch pieces. Level of detail and precision of execution count for a lot, Where can I read more about the difference between tank pieces and torch pieces?

I am a newbie, began with some German handmade and started to develop and interest in the "art Glass" hand made marbles. They are quite beautiful. Why is there such a disparity in price? Some artists are listed at $300 or more, but I am buying equally beautiful signed marbles for far less. Size seems to matter ( as always) but there must be more to it. .Is the age of the marble important? Are some artists more readily recognizable than others, hence demand a higher premium?Just asking

What causes pin pricks? Are they a flaw? Do bubbles increase or decrease the value of a marble? I also collect old bottles and bubbles are good german swirl 30xx.htm

I have been buying some shooters advertised as "mint". Some ( and I notice this in a lot of marbles) there is a crease, like a narrow slash on the marble. Is this common? What causes it? Does it mean it is nm rather than mint?Or even worse? Bob
