I just listed a bunch of Peltier Comics with very strong strikes, very little scattered graphite, and mint in condition. I have to sell to help me pay for a collection of Akro Advertising marbles I just purchased. Here is a link to one of the Comics: https://www.ebay.com/itm/123348181780?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
Check out the rare trio of Akro "Porcelfrit" advertising marbles that I have up on e-bay this week. Here is the link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/153154934541?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
Here is a link to one of several onionskin marbles that I will be selling on e-bay this week. I was blessed to find a jar full of them at a recent estate auction. https://www.ebay.com/itm/152987043218?ssPageName=STRK:MESCX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1557.l2649 If you are an onionskin collector, you will want to check them out.
One more thing. When you get the opportunity, ask the antique dealers if they have any marbles. I can't tell you how many times, the dealers didn't have the marbles out, but had some tucked away in a drawer to look at. Again, happy hunting.
I would agree that it is harder to find marbles at antique stores than it once was. However, I still have made some good finds at antique stores. Last year, I purchased an onionskin that was close to 2 inches for $65. There are still a lot of dealers who don't want to take the time to learn marbles and sell good ones for great prices. I hope your hunt goes well.
Looking to add some more Akro Logo / Screen Printed / Advertising Marbles to my collection. I have a Koehler and a Barnetts. Anyone out there who has some to sell or trade? I have some nice Peltier Comics I would be willing to trade.
