Thanks x2😗 . No uv glow. I can see where you going with giraffe. It came in an all vintage group for what that's worth. We all know marbles get blended at times. But i do suspect it as being a wv. Alley sounds good .

Thanks. Yes, Looks like it was on the playground a few times. Cant recall seeing that colour combo before That doesn't mean much though .

Heres one with the metal part of the shifter still attached. Has some glow and appears to be a makers mark on the metal part. I would think that is not from the maker of the knob.
-
No glow. When i first looked quickly i thought it was a lemonade. Its an electric colour .

Bright yellow. I found in a egg carton with 12 same size variety of oldies. Thanks for all input

Ok. Thanks. I suppose then, there could be company names behind some of them. Such as glasfabrik. I guess it would be next to impossible to decipher the different manufacturing outlets ? As the variety appears the same within the styles. With obvious colours and enhancement differences.

While i am here... something i have wondered about. Were german marbles made in factories? Or were they made by individual artisans?
-
Thanks for the last i.d. I think it's a slag. Akro? It's all brushed surface except one large stalagmite in the center. Aprox 7/8. Tia.
-
Indeed that would be more accurate and Websters would mostly agree. I would prefer the factory name myself. Imo the tri- onyx is a gold standard in the Akro line up . I would not call Kellogs Corn Flakes " roosters" . Despite the hybrid misnomer , i believe the essence of the question was understood and at the end of the day that is all that matters. At least they have not been labelled genetically modified....yet.

I know its a popeye. Would it be considered a hybrid? Aprox 15mm. Couple tiny dings but a nice happy farm find

Allright, many thanks. Great info. That makes it clear to me, i was always under the wrong impression of what a transitional was. One last thing. There are American transitionals? From a bit earlier time?
-
I think your onto something with the Japanese transitional. Would you happen to know when Japan transitionals were made? Also the name suggests they were going into machine producing at that point. Is it cat eyes they started making? Bit off the topic the questions. but it something ive been wondering about occasionally over the years

Thanks again x2. I have to tend to agree newer (MK sounds very plausible), being my automatic default when i find marbles in nm condition. They will make a nice group display.
-
Cheers.I know , i usually only find ones with dings to varying degrees. Whatever they are ,their neat. I hope someone may recognize them. I was looking at some nova or root beers but dont think they fit that bill.

I think they are all in the same family. Most are more patch with transulecent brown base. A few entire surface is covered . Hopefully pics are o.k

I think i have seen that type/size in the big boy bags . ? By marble king? Not sure if the marble stock was purchased elsewhere for those.
