  1. My grandmas been gone for about 10 years and these were given to me this week. It’s been a while since I’ve been involved with marbles so I hope you can help a lady out. These three caught my eye even though they’re probably abundant. Any help is appreciated. :)IMG_1360.thumb.jpeg.b098071e2adde71088731f414daabdbd.jpeg

I am sorry to hear that you are giving your collection up Sherryfain.

This might be the way for you and I respect that.

If you are willing to give up about 30%, there are many sellers out there that will "Take a look".

You can alway test the waters on e-bay with a group here or there.

You have been a bright light here one "TheMarbleConnection" and I would hate to see the end of your passion for these great little orbs.

Consider selling your furniture instead--lol, like I would--or your Husband or dog:wub:.

    I wish you well--

    Marble--On!!

I hate to see them go.. honestly. They’re precious little works of art to me. I haven’t decided yet if I’ll follow through with selling and I’m now eyeballing furniture. 😆

  3. I’m considering selling my entire collection, but before I do I’d like some opinions on how to get them safely where they need to go. Is it even possible to ship a lot of marbles? Or should I restrict to pick up only? I imagine the weight alone would be pricey to ship. Anyway, please let me know your thoughts. I don’t think I have the energy to sell one by one.

    thanks

A total Keeper looks to be Mint! And by your photo, you see a tunnel, loop. Actually a few loops on it in other places. Follow any of them to bottom, it's likely to have a white stripe/line on the opposite side of the seam, which would make it a road. Road and tunnel striped transparent slag.

A single continuous snaking ribbon like that known as a "wirepull". Too bad it's so beat that the innards are obscured. I can think of a few possibilities of who may have made it. Are there lots of bubbles inside?

Not a lot of bubbles as far as I can tell. It is difficult to see..

There's quite a mix here. Vacors, Alleys, Peltier, Akro, etc. The big blue on white Alley is a good one. It looks like a 6-ribbon Peltier Rainbo to the right of the black on blue Vacor in the bottom row of the tray, Looks like a white in transparent blue Akro Corkscrew second from the right in the top row. The white in trans blue swirl third from the left in the top row looks pretty interesting. The flamey blue on white one 5th from the left in the top row is pretty interesting too. One I find intriguing is the white/blue/yellow one toward the left. There a some good vintage marbles here. Of course, all of my thoughts are based only on what I think i see given a single view. What is it you're wanting or looking for, Sherry? Are you wanting to sort them?

Im feeling a bit overwhelmed tonight I suppose. I’d like to sort them but also wanted to see if there were any especially special ones in this bunch. I’ll pull the ones you mentioned and start there :) thank you so much!
