They do!! I believe the OP is a Red Bee, if av is present in the red ribbons then a Ruby Bee

Peltier NLR Ruby Bee (av is present in the red ribbons) ::  There is no av present in a Red Bee, the base color may vary in shades of yellow especially in the Red Bee

A little different off yellow base but still a Red Bee (no av)

Another Ruby Bee, I took this one in the sunlight to hopefully show the av a little better. The av present in Ruby Bees is often scant and very fine, you have to look for it but there is a considerable monetary difference between a Ruby Bee & a Red Bee.

Two more K & M's, the basic NLR ribbon pattern often becomes distorted in larger examples.

Currently a nm+ to mint range true Alley Calligraphy is going for anywhere from $200.00 to over $500.00.  Size and color combinations makes a difference. I offered $250.00 for a certain one at the Canton show last year. The same marble was there again this year. I offered $300.00 this year. Steve Smith(smitty)said no that he had already been offered $500.00 . He did not sell it. It will probably be higher next year. It was 11/16 and a odd nice color combination, not in the Salesman sample case.  I see them listed one Ebay, but very few are what I consider actual Calligraphy's.  All of them in the salesman sample case are 11/16 size. They were made in 5/8 and 11/16 size. I have seen only one 3/4 inch.

Wow, that's pretty wild and a lot more than I thought lol hopefully 1 day I might stumble across 1, Thank you again, so very much!

Alley from the Pennsboro location. No black, just white base and blue.  Trying to be but not Calligraphy. A weak wanna be Calligraphy that did not get enough blue coverage for a good Calligraphy. Calligraphy style but just not enough. Not even near half price of a good Calligraphy.  Could be early when the blue was first added ? Or late as the blue was running low or empty.

Awesome! Thanks for the info as always, I much appreciate it, definitely never thought calligraphy because I know that they are super busy, but I have never seen any in person. out of curiosity, how much do Calligraphy marbles go for? I imagine it must be a pretty penny lol.

Yellow, green, red and white with a bonus pink. Pink is such a hard color, that isn't a blend of red and white, to get.

This color line up and internal wispy blends inside, found in Akro Sparklers and Master marbles. I mean both can line up near the same colors, Yellow most usual in Akro but Master has that too. You're missing blue as both can have all four primary; red, yellow, blue, green and white,  plus clear and as, they always blend into a 7th shade, you are 7+ which makes:. Lucky 7.

But which is this? And man, your gramps didn't mess around with his 'Evil 'intimidator marble, snatching minty stuff. You've got, in that massive horde of his, just what marble collectors dream of. Albeit I doubt many even dreamed that big, hiding away since the 30's.

I like the sheer marks (cut lines) to be saying Akro but the tints in the colors and the big white smear that appears to be out of the red, turning it pink, that's what I'd expect in a Master Made.  Yet it would be possible, because; out of the gate, breaking ties with Akro, Master used those 6  and got that lucky 7th as well.

I just happen to have one, Lucky 7 (all primary colors, and white in clear, blending of the shades) with shear marks of master, and it takes a bow with heavy Master's green aventurine covering half of it. It Sparkles! However, it also lends to yours being Akro. Sparklers have fairly standard, for Akro, clear. My Master uses a tint of clear that's not quite a coke bottle green as it's lighter than, but close. That suggests; Master was using culet while Akro was likely mixing their own from scratch.  [edit] I forgot to mention more on that pink. It might be blended as these were being made but maybe not. Either way, it just adds in the Keeper clause for being that much different than others, near the same without it, made back then.

So upon close inspection, the pink is not pink in my opinion it appeared that it is orange with white brushed on top giving it the appearance of being pink... also, not my gramps horde lol that's belongs to my uncle and its buried so deep in his storage that I've never gotten to see it lol but he says there's a few new in the boxes sets which is cool, hopefully I'll get to see them 1 day but no, I had a few and my mom had a small jar full but the rest have come from estates sales and gambling on large ebay lots for cheap lol, I am a bottom feeder but everything I post here and enquire about is to attempt to learn what I can before selling so that I can try to lable and list as accurately as possible when I do go to sell plus I truly enjoy learning about marbles and marble history, there is so much to learn and so many sweet marbles out there, its great. Thanks for your insight it is appreciated:)

And probably why it was saved as a special marble by evil marble player who'd use  to intimidate competitors.

Off the cuff: for the long thin continuous strand of black and white randomly running throughout; Alley Agate especial exclusive for back alley dark games. 😄

And if you count the D before the EVL and the I above it becomes slightly more devilish... lol
