You come in at No2 mate 😁. No, a little straight line cut off.
-
Hey Rick, you're now an English pilot???😁
-
Thanks for the heads up fellers. Different ideas in different countries I guess. I would never intentionally insult anybody, absolutely least of all @shiroaiko who is my favourite marble person in the whole world. My photography skills are nonexistent and I think this is a difficult surface? The third photo may just give the impression of the straight line cutoff as a pale line in the centre purple?

Vitro horseshoe cat's eye??? Larger one looks Vacor?
-
Faint chance of early Japanese (Seike)
-
Mine is not damaged but I think the normally white base has been lightly tinted by the purple swirl colour somehow leading to the impression of a semi-frosted finish. I have always thought mine was weird and was happy to see another the same. @SequoiaBET Are you outside the USA?
-
@shiroaiko The one I have similar to this is 17mm with a short straight line cut off instead of the messy spider leg crease.
-
I have one the same glass in with my Japanese transitionals (not necessarily Yasuda) Japanese transitionals can range from 5/8 to 1 inch. @shiroaiko What do you think Aiko?
-
@Carowill No such word as "whispy" in a PROPER English dictionary {not sure if it exists in an American English internet dictionary?}. It was the esteemed Canadian collector Roger Browse who was the first to name them Wispler (from WISPy sparkLER} Not sure who was the first (probably an American) to mistakenly write "Whispler" and was then blindly followed by the herd of sheep.

A Greiner has a multifaceted pontil and I just can't quite see it for sure in your photos.
-
I agree with uncommon colour Japanese Transitional.
-
Thanks mate. I'm getting that warm fuzzy feeling again.
-
@Chad G. I have 8 Veili wirepulls .93 to .97. Just looked up @warcor and he is from the UK.
-
With all those tight "rib bones" in pic's 4 and 6 it could be a Veiligglas wirepull.
-
Don't like catseyes? Maybe this will change your mind

Elizabeth Kempski's book says the 9Vane 3Colour caged style is one of the rarer Japanese cat's eyes. Even rarer with coloured base glass. -
After you find the two forums you'll never go back to a facebook group again. Maybe for a laugh but not for an ID.
-
If I found that out here in Australia I would think it was a Wispler. In Canada more chance of US made? I'm never being definite on these types.
-
Vacor Flame is listed as iridescent but there are plenty of them that are not.
-
I would say Japanese. Not necessarily Yasuda but could be.
-
Are there small blue, green and yellow inclusions or are they random reflections from something outside?
-
The 2nd and 3rd look like Wisplers for sure. Not sure on the first, Wispler or Master?
-
Euro Sparkler with oxblood.
-
Did anyone notice that Aiko said a crease pontil is typical for Seike who was the largest preWWII Japanese marble producer as opposed to Yasuda.
-
Much better photo. No doubt at all now.
-
Nice mushroom. Made by Seike?
