  1. A Greiner has a multifaceted pontil and I just can't quite see it for sure in your photos.
  2. I agree with uncommon colour Japanese Transitional.
  3. Thanks mate. I'm getting that warm fuzzy feeling again.
  4. @Chad G. I have 8 Veili wirepulls .93 to .97. Just looked up @warcor and he is from the UK.
  5. With all those tight "rib bones" in pic's 4 and 6 it could be a Veiligglas wirepull.
  6. Elizabeth Kempski's book says the 9Vane 3Colour caged style is one of the rarer Japanese cat's eyes. Even rarer with coloured base glass.
  7. After you find the two forums you'll never go back to a facebook group again. Maybe for a laugh but not for an ID.
  8. If I found that out here in Australia I would think it was a Wispler. In Canada more chance of US made? I'm never being definite on these types.
  9. Vacor Flame is listed as iridescent but there are plenty of them that are not.
  10. I would say Japanese. Not necessarily Yasuda but could be.
  11. Are there small blue, green and yellow inclusions or are they random reflections from something outside?
  12. The 2nd and 3rd look like Wisplers for sure. Not sure on the first, Wispler or Master?
  13. Euro Sparkler with oxblood.
  14. Did anyone notice that Aiko said a crease pontil is typical for Seike who was the largest preWWII Japanese marble producer as opposed to Yasuda.
  15. Much better photo. No doubt at all now.
  16. Nice mushroom. Made by Seike?
  17. What is supposed to be the difference between a "spider" and a "normal" wirepull?
  18. Slightly strange pattern on this one and can't really see the crease pontil very well which I assume is those faint lines in the first photo, but I do have a definite Japanese transitional of the exact same size and colours. Not every JT is necessarily Yasuda.
  19. Whoever that was writing "spider" has probably never heard of a Veiligglas wirepull.
  20. Slight chance of early Japanese.
  21. I'm 50% Japanese. Don't want to go against the experts.
  22. I reckon it depends on where it was originally found in the wild. USA or any of the British Commonwealth countries. Great to see an American spelling Wispler correctly
  23. In Australia I have not come across any of the single colour Camel (Matsuno) Pinchers. Heaps of Wales Variegated though ( @Al Oregon photos) made by Seike as per @shiroaiko All 15 to 17mm Always white with one colour and clear windows. Blue and pale blue, Green and pale green, Red and Yellow. About 50% of the Yellows glow bright cadmium orange under UV.

    Yasuda?

    Well, Japanese at least.

    Seiki?

The 4stripe marbles always have 2 of the same colour opposite each other and 2 different colour opposite each other.
