Is there a way to determine the marble maker? Or are they too common?
 -
@Alan @Ric many thanks. Any idea on age?

Hi, This looks visually like a lava. But know little else about it. Any thoughts? It measures 41.5mm / 1.63 inches. There is what looks like a crease, which is 20mm long in photo 1.

@Ric Many thanks for the detailed response. Mind blown 😂. Clearly a long learning journey ahead. Thanks for the advice and guidance.

	Thanks @Fire1981 and @marblemanvintagemarbles

Hey all, still learning. Think this may be a patch marble. But also good odds that I am totally wrong.

Hi, there is a short horizontal crease about 6mm. Is this a pinch pontil? Yasuda perhaps? Marble is 15.4mm 0.6 inch.

	Thanks all.

	Thanks.

Hi all, anyone provide any insights into this 16mm marble? Green swirls start and stop either side, 5 green ribbons

Hi all, Any ideas on this clear marble? A y shaped crease on one side and a green taint to the marble. 34.4mm in diameter.   any ideas on production method and age? Assume not collectible as no colour?

Sorry for the bad photography. Will look to post single items next time and get better shots. I am based in England

Thanks. What’s the swirl in the second image? Looks like a strand of glass was pulled over that area in a swirl. What are these called?
 -
Thanks for providing some detail. Assuming the Pontil is the tail like swirl of glass the forms a ring on this one.

Hi all, Last post for the day. Any thought on these white and red marbles. All around 15.5-17mm. Many thanks again for all inputs on the posts today.

Hey All, Six similar marbles. I like the purple and amber (although has a chip) ones the most. Also the little tail on the dark blue is pretty cool. Assuming hand made, they are around 30mm diameter. Any advice on identifying these gratefully received.

Many thanks. So much to learn clearly…. How can you tell it is handmade? What are the obvious signs and why Germany? Sorry for the questions - new and trying to learn.
