  1. Hi Chad Oh I didnt know the green ones are a good colour - they are my favorites for colour for sure - I will post more photos re the pontils - all are the same faceted but only at one end. Thank you very much for the info re the likely dating. I'd be very happy to keep them as I really do thing they are works of art but I think others would appreciate having them even more than me! Thanks for replying. Yes, you're right - I did request some help around identifying what marbles I had from AAM and it was great that everyone was soo helpful - yourself and Alan included - its been so interesting to learn more and I feel most fortunate to have them. I'm very grateful . I've come to this forum to post piccies on the suggestion of a chap that I've been chatting to about them - he thought it would be nice to show them off as it were. Obviously , I'm hoping to sell them too so it was also suggested that it would be a good idea to make sure that people know they exist. I'd love to see them go to someone who really would enjoy having them! I havent sold to the US before but I think I need to in this case. I've uploaded three more piccies of each of the orange ones to show the faceted pontil better, its hard to show on the last three. I've uploaded some more piccies of the other two green ones for interest too. Again three of each. Hazel
  2. Blimey I'm sad to hear that. I thought I'd understood what they were - I'd never have come to the forum with an opinion on what there were if I'd been given any reason to doubt they were german onionskins. But hey I'm new to the world of marbles so what do I know.. Thanks for sharing your opinion - I appreciate your efforts to let me know your thoughts.
  3. Hi I have inherited some marbles including the prettiest and some unusual onionskins. I thought I'd share as I think I have a couple which are particularly unusual and some which are just the most beautiful works of art in my humble opinion. Ive had to try and pick up some learning about what they are but i'm up for hearing your views and thoughts. The first red and white one I believe is an early faceted ground pontil German onionskin cloud (17mm or less than 11/16s). I love the feathering pattern its so pretty. The second - is a looping onionskin I believe - again early German faceted pontil - the window seems to me to be extraordinary. I have three which I wonder if they are the same cane - all are gorgeous colours. About 11/16s or 18mm) I'd love to hear what you think folks. Hazel
  4. Hi My name is Hazel and I'm from the South Coast in the UK. I've inherited some really beautiful early onionskin marbles including some super EOC ones and I'd like to see what you folks think of them if I may. I'm hoping ultimately to find them a new home but first I'd like to show them off as I think they're gorgeous! I'll have a look to see which topic to join in with but if you have any suggestions please do let me know. Hazel
