The Nickel Guy
First off, I think calling these Vacor might be OK with marble people but I think Mega Marbles might be more appropriate. To make things more complicated, I think these are also in the niche of Marbles made in Mexico by Vacor for sale in the USA and with the round tags rather than square, I believe these are named "Top Notch". I am just guessing that they are the most recent distribution from south of the border. I have not seen them yet but I will not be disappointed if they lack the pizazz of their earlier versions. I just suspect these will be a bit lesser quality. These have nicknames attached to the type. For example Roosters are named Rocky Rooster on the tags. So am I correct in my understanding of these round tag net bags? I got all of these at a great price. I think there may be 22 bags but at least 20 in this picture. I think I got about 4 singles a lot of doubles and maybe a triple on a couple? Hard to tell. Anyway, from what I can make out, are the issues included. Drake the Dragon Henry Hobbit Lil Devil Camo Bee Cool Bobby Bengal Tiger Rex the Dinosaur Rocky Rooster Bennie Blue Jay Oceana the Mermaid Marbleman Superhero These are my first Vacors but I might have one or three singles in my collection until they arrive. I think I might have a couple serpents.
Al Oregon
Good buy! I have 29 different ones like those from Top Notch. There are also some with Top Notch on the reverse of the header but not the front - Chinese Checkers Replacement and Traditional (variety of 50 in bag). I also have one bag with the similar header but the Dollar General logo on the front where the Top Notch logo shows here but Top Notch logo on the back. I don't know the date that they started marketing with Top Notch but I have some that I acquired back in the 2014 time frame. 1
The Nickel Guy
Thanks, boy o boy, I could see how collecting these Vacors seriously could be compared to hitting the stores for the latest Hot Wheels. I just wanted a smattering. I guess you are supposed to keep em in the bag. Not sure I can do that. I hope the nets are just tied in a knot. I would keep the cards and nets. 1
