  1. Wonderful bunch of marbles your showing here, for some reason I really like these, but the only one I have is this shooter at 25mm. Yeah I think they are rare, I am glad I have mine, and now know what it is.
  2. I am a newbie and I get what you are saying, and it makes sense, it does get confusing for newbies sometimes. There is an old saying in hunting "Its not about the prize, its about the hunt", so long as we find what we are looking for in the process, then its all good, and fun.
  3. Awe.. Absolutely beautiful marbles Chad, absolutely stunning! 😲
  4. G'day Folks! My first guess was a CAC, but I have seen similar Pelt's, size is a bee's knee over 16mm. Cheers
  5. G'day Folks! Here is one of many nice Akro's I have to show, it sure can do with a polish, its size is just over 20mm. Cheers
  6. Oh thank you, I do love metallic flakes in car paint, and Lutz marbles.
  7. lol, I don't really know, its just something someone had mentioned about this marble (years ago) that stuck in my head.
  8. Yeah mate, had trouble sleeping last night and took these pics under lights, I will try again shortly for better quality.
  9. I do remember one thing someone had told me (a while ago that has stuck in my mind) is that it's an "African" of some make, which I don't recall. I looked up Vacor Hurricane on images searches and I did find one that was on eBay (but no longer available to view).
  10. Sure is hard to focus inside these clearies to the point where everything is in focus, I still need to work out the cameras aperture, iso and shutter speed on my dslr.
  11. I still need to learn some marble lingo, what does AV mean? this does have lots of bubbles, I am sure that's one of the reasons I purchased this one back in the day, the only reason I am stumped on its make as being a Pelt is that the banana itself has a sharp Z shape banana, where all other Pelts with bananas I remember seeing had no so sharp cornering like this one.
  12. Ah.. I knew there was something I forgot to do with the photos, cropping! good idea, will do from now on. The glass looks very clear to me, so you think its not a Pelt?
  13. G'day Folks! I have no idea what this is, but its size is just short of 25mm. Cheers
  14. That's one sad story for who ever purchased it for $11,600. Maybe it could have been repaired.
  15. Yeah, good idea, some common cats eyes that I have many of, thanks mate.
  16. Oh that is so cool, thank you Chad! Yeah, I am really worried to polish these Germans, I wouldn't want to lose any of the outer ribbons.
  17. G'day folks! Here I have a beautiful German multi banded colored swirl, its size is 17mm, it can sure do with a polish, I wish I had a machine to polish off all the tiny flea-bites and small chips, one day I will try and make a machine to do that as I have so many marbles that can do with it. Just curious, what would something be worth nowadays? Cheers.
  18. Any idea of its make?
  19. G'day folks! I am thinking this is a Peltier banana, size is 25mm, can I get some thoughts of whether it is please? I would really like to be sure so I can label it correctly, thanks. Cheers
  20. G'day folks! Here is a nice example of a Akro agate corkscrew lifesaver, it measures 20mm. Cheers
  21. Yes indeed it is like a time capsule, there are many pages with the students hand writing within.
