  1. So green transparent base with orange or a combination of orange, yellow and/or red ribbons, as much or more below the surface as on it. I thought it had to have a green base but wasn't sure. I didn't know about the orange/yellow in and on the marble was also a prerequisite. What I have is not even close then. I need to post a picture but my set up is in disarray. Thank you!
  2. Looking to see if there is a set definition for a CAC submarine, any pictures may help. Thanks
  3. I seen a golden rebel today with heavy black aventurine, but when I got it into the sunlight, I notice that there was aventurine in the red ribbons and some on the yellow. Did Peltier have aventurine in the yellow? Or was this just something that happened when the marble was made, and the aventurine spread from the black to the yellow?
  4. It's fundraising time again to help find a cure and better ways to manage a horrible genetic disease. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is a great charity that has improved the quality and quantity of life for those that have been born with this genetic defect. Their efforts have helped increase the life expectancy of a child born with CF from 2 years old in the 1960's to 40 years old today! They are also serving as a model for the streamlining of important drugs, getting them to patients years faster than the FDA's "Fast Track" model. Please help my kid and thousands like him with a modest donation by clicking here! You can use paypal or credit card and of course it is tax deductible if you itemize your returns.
  5. I get it, I have some very nice pieces of glass that have cracks. One is a Heisey "Saturn Optic" 12" ball vase in moongleam (green), it was once a prized possession but because it was cracked it lost value in their eye. But just because it now has a flaw does not mean that it is not a beautiful piece of blown art glass. Like many people, we get nicked up and chipped in life. Some people see us differently but I still see the character and the beauty.
  6. Thanks for the compliment kbobam. I am a funny guy
  7. Is THIS what you are thinking about?
  8. Me doing stand up comedy at the Traverse City Winter Comedy Festival. Some R rated so parental discretion is advised. Check it out, laughing never ruined anyone's day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSolBwSPU34
  9. This really old dude playing a Slayer cover! Watch his hands, you may find there is a little bit more to that "noise" than you may have expected.
  10. Been my experience that if you won't accept returns on marbles you get less for your marbles. Sometimes a lot less.
  11. you can find the reserve amount by putting in a high bid, if you meet the reserve then you will be high bidder at the reserve price. Then simply cancel the bid, rebid with one less zero. example bid $2000, if the reserve is $1000 then that will be the new high bid. So you cancel and rebid at $200 saying you just made a mistake. Yeah it's sneaky but so is our federal government.
