  1. Hello everyone, A few questions/statements on these pictures; I recently bought these first three as CAC , the first is an obvious electric yellow slag and the the next two are what I hope are the "snottie" electric CAC type transparent swirls. The fourth is a generic yellow wire pull which I placed there so you can infer the vibrance from the first three marbles. The two "snottie" are out of round on clear glass. The First three fluoresce wildly orange when hit with blacklight on the yellow. Any help or comments by anyone would be greatly appreciated as always. I guess what im asking is..... do you CAC aholics think the first three to be CAC? Thanks, Craig
  2. Thanks everyone, I get to find a lot of CAC's living in ohio, ill post some more later! Craig
  3. Bigger one is 3/4 and slightly out of round and 5/8' on the other two. I think they are Christensen As always your comments are appreciated! Craig
  4. Thanks big john, I agree the original post is probably master... the colors were just so odd and have never seen the striping go so far down the "cut" on a master before. I think our later examples are what most christensen collectors agree as being the so called "lace" Craig
  5. I think big Johns IS cac, just the so called "snottie "type, mine (in post #16)has more of the traditional cut marks and is actually more a striped transparent. Craig
  6. Here is a marble of mine, the" real blue lace" (on the right) The one that I posted had similar characteristics, I was leaning towards master but........
  7. and a few more pics, just saw there was an id section, sorry
  8. Hello everyone, I am hoping that this is something good, it has the characteristics of CAC and master, what do you think? 5/8, baby blue with a touch of green on an amber base. Thanks in Advance! Craig
  9. Thats awesome, unfortunately those kind of scores come only once in a long while. But those are fantastic!
  10. The guy I bought them from has another bag for me, As soon as he finds them, he told me two weeks.........It seems like an eternity. Craig
  11. So, I am thinking that these are hard to find. which is odd because there were 4 in the lot I got them in.
  12. I have just never seen a transparent base like that, Those akro yellow/blue opaques are pretty common. Any idea on the rarity of these? Thanks again for the opinions and info! Craig
  13. Yeah they are a little beat up (my nails ) havent been to get them done in a while...well ever.
  14. and the green based with lime green cork and orange overlay, Thanks Again, Craig
  15. Hello everyone, As I do not collect Akro, I am not sure if these are rare or not. They are transparent cobalt blue based and back light nicely. they are the exact color of my cobalt guineas. Really quite striking. Two have yellow/baby blue and the other has yellow/brown swirled in a cork over top in a onyx? " snake?"type construction. The other is also like a snake as in it has a transparent green base glass with a lime green cork and orange inlaid overtop the base glass. I have never seen either of these. Has anyone else? and what are their names I should refer to them as. Rare?
  16. Ok thanks. So do others use this technique when identifying CAC's or i it mainly just feel and experience? Because while I feel I can identify most CAC's, sometimes I am a little iffy on the swirls that have not cut marks and some of the Alley flames look similar to CAC. But now that I have seen that alley sample box that has been posted here a few times I feel more confident there. C
  17. Hello, Just a general question for everyone about CAC. Does all of the white glass that CAC used fluoresce under black light? I noticed that when "examining" my marbles as I usually do that this flame and others seem to light up a bit more under UV. So does the white in my guineas and other flames such as this one. Secondarily, if this is the case, can I use this as a good way to distinguish common swirls from CAC's? Also works well on bloodies! Got these mibs from new philly Thanks for your time and opinions, Craig
