  1. I took some pics in the sun per your suggestion Akroorka. Hope it helps. The marble is just under 3/4 inch. The pontil is in the first pic. It looks more polished/smoothed and doesn't show well in the pic. If I understand correctly, the maker would often clean up the pontil on a nicer marble, as opposed to the more 'mass made' handmades. Or maybe it is a transitional and the rollers smoothed it out some? Or maybe I have no idea what I'm talking about... I have some, but not extensive, marble experience and exposure. Thanks for any and all help!
  2. It is a single pontil with an amber base. The white glass is at the surface on about 3/4 of the marble but there is a window in where you can see an off center wispy core. Another who, what, when, where marble.
  3. Here is an interesting one. It is a single pontil and from the top has a left hand swirl and from the bottom has a right hand swirl. The 2 merge together at the equator. The yellow glass also forms a partial core inside the marble. Any ideas on who, what, when, where it was made?
  4. One more Oxblood post. Does anyone know who made these cats-eye marbles with oxblood?
  5. Thanks for the prompt reply Akroorka! And I like the oxblood and egg yolk, Tommy. I just got my first one. Here is a pic along with my 2 lemonade oxbloods.
  6. My first post, just in time for Oxblood August! I just picked up these bricks and am thinking they are either M.F.Christensen or Akro- correct? And how do you tell the difference between the 2 companies? The bigger 2 are 3/4" and the other 3 are 5/8".
