Can anyone help me out with this one? Thanks!

Is it still considered a transitional (Hand gathered, Machine rounded)? And is this type of Akro rarer than the MFC made ones?

Did I get this one right? it's 43/64 (.67) inches with no UV. Has a nice clean, long 9 and tail in a beautiful cobalt blue.

Wicked! Love the effect. I always enjoy when marbles have interesting or large air bubbles. It adds character. The purposely added ones in such a tight pattern are really cool.

Oh- and the original suggestion from someone else was Bulgarian- not Hungarian. I made a mistake there in my OP. So interesting you mentioned Bulgarian again. They must have (or had) an active marble making community. I should look into learning more...

Thanks so much for the info and video link, Shamrock. Very Cool! That helps me to understand the difference between torch made and other techniques. The final marble is gorgeous. Such fine detail in the lattice work! We are lucky here in Oakland as there is a place called The Crucible that teaches all kinds of industrial arts and also serves as a work space for artists. One of the things they offer is glass work- both torch work and glass blowing. I took a 2 weekend class on torch work a few years back. It was a blast! We made an elephant, an octopus and of course- marbles, among other things. Glass is such an amazing medium to work with. And it's not easy! The amount of work folks put into making hand made marble and other items is awesome. I have much respect for their craft and art. If I had been introduced to it in high school, I totally would have pursued it as a career. Thanks again Shamrock and all who provided info. I learn so much here!

Wonder what? You got me intrigued... Thanks for the ID help.!

Thanks for the info about the bubbles. That is a cool technique! If it's not torch made, how is it made and how would one describe it? Is it cane made like antique German kinds? Thanks for any additional info- I do really like this marble- it stands out in a crowd!

I don't have very many of the JABO Classics, but I do like these. They are the "Last Hour" classics from 2006.

It's 1.25 inches with no UV and no signature. On another forum someone suggested maybe Hungarian made?

Maker? It's 9/16 (.56) with no UV. The pics are a bit muddy, but they looked that way in the sun too.

Here is my recently ID'd Greiner. (Thanks to folks on this site!) Some may have seen it already in the help with ID forum, but I thought I'd post it here as well.

Here are 4 SMM oversize- just under the Wed deadline! I only have a few that are this larger size (11/16 inch). The first 3 (pics 1-3, 4-6, and 7) are from the West Virginia Run and the last one is from Marble Buddy's 3 (pics 8 and 9).

Wow- that is super sweet! Nice pics! We were supposed to be able to see them here in the Bay Area too, but you had to be outside the city lights- which I am not...

It's 5/8 (.62) inch with lite UV in the white glass. The colors really remind me of a creamsicle popsicle. That is the color of the orange and it is a nice clean white. The pictures don't capture it exactly. I guessed RW due to the more consistent ribbon stream and the flowing nature of the swirl pattern. Also the way the stream ends at the surface as seen in picture one made me think RW. (It reminds me of a snakes tooth.) My skills at IDing WVS are nearly non-existent, so I don't know if any of those traits I based my guess on are accurate for this marble or RW marbles in general. (I did read the ID traits and stare at the WV Swirls book til I went a bit cross-eyed.) If those who can confirm or correct my ID can briefly say why it is recognizable as being from a certain company- that would be so helpful for me in learning more about how to ID WVS. If you can't, that's fine too- I know some of you spend a lot of time helping us newer folks learn and may not always have the additional time or desire to school us too. As always, any help is much appreciated!

Thanks! The colors are really much better in hand. I couldn't seam to capture them clearly in the pics.

Thanks for clarifying Cheese. I think I got it now! (And no, sadly, my OP isn't one.)
