I've read about vaseline glass, which glows bright yellow to yellow/green under a black light.  I believe it may have some uranium or some other element which causes the glow.  Please correct me and educate me on that if I am wrong.  But, I've also discovered at several of the marbles in my find which glow orange/red under black light.  What causes that?  There is at least one which appears a very dark translucent (green black) with light colored swirls internally (to the naked eye), then under black light, there is the orange/red glow imbedded.  Fascinating.  What's this?  Anyone?

These 3 speckles are dark translucent with oxblood ribbons in them and the frit(some lutz) imbedded in them.  The swirlies also seem to have the UV effect!

What about those 3 oddities in there?  What do you call those with the speckles on them?  I found them as part of that box.  Does that make it even more special? 

ID'd and dated find...  was 2009 or this particular run anything "special"? 

It's 1 1/2"/37mm marble (boulder?  toebreaker?) which appears to have the Milky Way swirling through it (lots of small bubbles).  Two larger bubbles visible.  Thin blue, orange, and yellow ribbons.  No clear pontil (?)  No signature visible.  How can I tell a maker or estimated manufacture date?  Is it machined or handmade?

I'm looking for the best way to pack and ship marbles.  If I sell an individual?  What's the cheapest and most secure means of shipping it?  If I sell a few packages?  If I sell 100+ at a time, how would I best insure their safe arrival?  I'm looking for answers from anyone experienced in selling on eBay or the Marble Connection.

Hmmm...the one is 20mm, but there are a few others varying sizes.  Is MMM (Mad Man Marbles) still around?

It appears this little bag was set aside, all with signatures.  One little one 12mm has a signature of MC and nothing else.  Thoughts???

It's 20mm and I did find some initials on it. 80 over 515 WWW   Who would that be?  Some signatures are # over initials, some are in the round with 2 initials, Not sure whether MMM or WWW  Not sure 80 or 08... What do you think?

Not sure what these are or if they have any value.  Have seen some on eBay which appear to have value, but not sure of manufacturer or history.  This picture is one marble.

I'm trying to add some more, but the system won't allow.  I've reduced each to under the requirements.  Any idea why I can't post more?
