Just checking with you guys before I bulk these all up together and sell my the pound .... From what info I have found ... these are all Modern Marbles ... and easy to find ? ... RIGHT ????

Josh, I did wonder about the purple and reds maybe being Vacor. I couldn't think of which style name to look up, so thank you for that.

I _think_ the structure on Doug's looks Akro on this marble. But I haven't been sure about that on all of his purple and reds.

Akro Corkscrew. 1930's.

Put that one in the good pile. I'm not sure but it _might_ have a special name. It _might_ be called a "Blood and Bones". Don't take my word for that. Definitely wait until someone else confirms or contradicts.

About the modern ones, mostly it means they have little value. However, Jabo classics such as yours are growing in value. So I recommend separating out the Jabo classics and putting them on ebay separately from the Asians. (Assuming ebay is the destination of any of these marbles.)

eBay might be the best way on some .... but would like to maybe just sell all at one shot .... but need to know what I have first .... I still have a couple hundred pounds to go through I have not looked at yet ... I have sold 185 pounds of Cat eyes on Craig List locally .... and I still have ALOT of sorting to do before I do anything .... the pictures are what I am sorting through right now .... but its fun and I do enjoy all the colors ... If I didn't collect fishing lures ... Marbles would be it ....

Agree on the first two being newer.

I think the first could be Asian.

The second is Jabo.

Both would be modern.

And agree about the last possibly being an Akro cork but also more pictures of that one would be nice to try to be sure.

MORE MORE MORE ... sounds like my kids ... and now my grandkids ... Here are 3 more views ... after looking at it again ... the white looks more tannish white or light pinkish white ... Need more ., let me know .... ALSO .... on the other 2 ... does being modern mean they are not very collectible ... or are of little value ? THANKS ...

Doug. Welcome to marble collecting. Take a deep breath and slow down a bit. ID's are best like your first post, with one (ideally) or two mibs. Show several views and roll them around. You've got lots going on in post #5...and some potentially interesting things. A flame for example in the first photo first row right in post #5; and corks, and patches. Some look older, some look newer, can't be sure. Give several views, and maybe only group things you think are similar by construction or style of glass. You seem anxious to figure it out all at once...and I can assure you, marbles resist easy comprehension. If the professionals here start working on these pictures, you will be so lost in ID's, and worse possible IDs that you might give up right when you get started. Good luck. You marble people must be a little on the crazy side for putting yourself through this torture ... But they sure are pretty ...

Hi ..... Finally got my Pee Wee's sorted out ... mostly all newer stuff .. had to get a template to do it ... they are all 1/2 inch or smaller ...

OK .... when I go to sell these ..... what's going to be the best way to do it ? Take forever to sell 1 at a time .... sell the whole bunch old and new as one lot .... sell small bunches on eBay ??? .... Get a local marble collector to help me ? On the really common cat eyes ... these I will sell by the pound ... How much a pound do they go for ? Would appreciate any thoughts on how to sell these ...

Are these marbles good ... or ??? ... just , bunch them all together and sell in bulk by the pound ? I know there many be a diamond in the rough ... in the bunch ... and I am still trying to figure out the good from the common ....

Is this mostly new marbles ... and if you can but any names on some ... that would be great ... I am thinking probably Arko on most ????

OK... I have ordered a circle template ... to figure out the Pee Wee's .... When I decide to sell or trade for vintage fishing lures .... this collection after I get everything sorted out .... is it better to sell the Pee Wee's separate ?
