I think you're right, Steph . . . the colors look more John Deere than any Akro I can place.  Is the green a little transparent?

Yes, indeed it is. John Deere, that's why it's special! Haha. I love my JD. (Jack too, haha.)

I suspect it is a crack of some sort.  Maybe an annealing fracture.  (Connected with the cooling process of the marble.)

That's what I suspected as well. A cold press? Is that the term I read somewhere? The color in it that I only noticed after magnifying it threw me for a loop. I've noticed the Japanese ones seem to have several cracks. Some you can feel, some you can't.

  3. Does the gap in the middle of the swirly stuff point to vitro? Like those big green ones I showed yesterday? I have 5 blues, 3 greens, 3 orange and a yellow all the same size and one blue just slightly larger than the rest. A bakers dozen. Can I make a box? Haha.

In my opinion Ebay listings is a fairly poor source for accurate marble names

That's why I'm here! So much misinformation around. Glad you guys are so knowledgable. I'm just meeting them myself and name them what feels right, like sun shines or earths. Haha.

Ooops, you do have three Pelt blue and yellows in this batch, but they wouldn't be called Cub Scouts either.

    Peltier Peerless Patches.  AKA PPP's

Here's a Peltier Cub Scout.  It's from the MarbleAlan site.  Sorry, not posed so you can see the seams and the NLR structure.

I did think the cub scout colors were more like the Akro sun shines. The ppps confused me a bit. Thanks for the clarification. : )

Ahh ... I'm kinda leaning MK on the "ugh".  But at the same time, I would probably put it in the same box as my Vitro All Reds  ... just sorta on the edge.

    How helpful is that? ;)

The one with two orange ribbons remains weird.  I think it's a PelTroKing.

PeltroKing!!! Haha. It's a pretty peltroking that's for sure.
