The above finds are from today 5/14/18 The finds below are from Saturday 5/12/18

The big one is 1" these are all broken or melted but all are about half maybe a little bigger.

This is the second white cats eye I found digging at the Peltier factory.

Just under 1/2" a nice peewee.

5/16" this is the second small green marble I found.

Here are my finds my dig at the Peltier factory in ottawa illinois. I found 5 marbles today and 4 on Saturday. I found quite a few broken marbles a few are perfect halves. Some pieces that are about halves that are not broken but melted and deformed. Found a lot of nice pretty pieces of glass that was from a machine leaking or pipe or something, I think they are called bullets but not sure. I feel I had success. The big broken one is 1" and the dark red one is just under a 1/2" and the little green one is only 5/16" Thanks for looking this one looks to me like it was gonna b a rootbeer without the banana inside.

. If I knew the inside was digable I would have asked him if I could go inside.

Thanks for the heads up, I hope to make it, it'll be my first, I've only been collecting for less than 2 months, I think I could learn a lot just by going to the show.

Migrant, If you go back n dig again you should contact me, I'd love to hunt inside with you, I really enjoy the hunt.

The only part fenced off is one of the loading docks. While digging today, a guy pulled in to the factoRyan and backed a trailer inside n told me where others found marbles n said it's ok if I dig, I seen city workers a few times all they did was wave. I had a pretty successful dig, at least ione feel I did. I'm going to start a thread later showing all my finds, I found another one that's just clear but it's an amber color, looks like the root beer float but nothing inside.

I'm about to go back right now the factory is still there but there is very little ground that can be dug, hopefully today I can finish it,m. Are you from Illinois, did you make any finds while digging the site? When I get back today I'm going to make a dug site thread to show all my finds, I found a few broken and partial marbles while digging last time but was only able to dig for about 45 min, I'll hopefully get longer today, wish me luck 😉

Migbar So if they made them as small as 1/4" do you think the green one is a marble or was made as some sort of decorative piece? Are the completely clear ones pretty rare? I've never seen one before. I know this one is in pretty bad shape, but it was dug out of the ground.

Here is a pic of the tiny green one, much smaller than any peewee I've ever seen. Any ideas on this? It's only 5/16"

Here is another one I found, never seen this one before either, I also found a white cats eye too. Also something not sure it would be considered a marble, it's made of cloudy lime green glass.

Sounds good Steph. Do you think this was a playing marble. You can see lines on it where the colors would be going into the seam, not sure if u can see it in the pics tho.

Did Peltier make a completely clear marble? While digging at the old factory today I found a few complete marbles and some pieces of marbles, one I found stumped me, it just a plain clear marble. As far as I knew they never made completely clear marbles, could it be valuable?
