I'm sure this is an Akro, but am confused by the possibilities.  Measures .68 and from looking at references it appears to be an Akro Ringer or a Cherry Ade.  A couple of other possibilities but I believe these are the two closest.  Hope someone 

can pinpoint it.

I think I got my first Sparklet on the right at .60.  On the left at .61 I believe I have a Vitro Opal.  Hope I'm right.

I agree it is very cool to see them restored.  

Thanks, Chad, for putting in the grading info and the reference to the Marble Alan site.  Wish I would have known about that site a year ago when I first started collecting.  Someone probable put it on marbleconnection before, but I missed it.  It's worth its weight in 1000 marbles for sure.  I know this info will help me in the future as lately I have been leery of looking at anything that isn't absolutely pristine.  As an example, I have passed up several very nice old marbles because of a small blow hole when I find now that is acceptable in some cases.

It still seems to me that things are a little crazy out there as when I first went into the wild hunting, I could always find something worthwhile.  Now it seems that what is out there is not worthwhile or people say you should have been here yesterday.  If you go to eBay and only want to buy a single marble the shipping is prohibitive or going to an auction the buyers premium and sales tax makes it not worth it.   In certain parts of the country, I'm sure it is easier to find decent deals.

Did anyone participate in Blocks Auction Saturday? I watched the last half of the auction and was amazed at some of the prices.  I saw a Rebel go for $325, Superman $375 (I think) and you have to add the buyers premium of around 20%.  Also on the lower end a mint Conqueror for $16.00 and a Vitro mint patch for $30.00.  Can't believe those two.  A lot of common marbles that Block estimated at between $50 and $100 went for $210.  Anyone have an opinion on whether this is a new normal or just people getting carried away in an auction?

The other thing that caught my eye is that he gave most of offerings a grade of 80 to 90 with the highest I saw was 99.  Is this just his grading system or are others using it?  How does that compare to mint, near mint etc.?

Thanks guys, sorry for the lousy pics on this post.  The right mib has two cut lines or sure and it is pristine, so I would guess it is a newer MK Cub Scout.   

And if not it must be just a cold or hot roll that I am seeing.

Wow, I'm sure getting an education.  If I can stick around long enough I may know something.   If it is an MFC, which it appears to be from the visible nine, it can't be a double ingot; therefore, is it really an MFC?

Thanks Ron. It is sure easy to see how misidentifications happen.  I am comparing my mib with a photo  of a marble in a book and then photographing it and putting it in the room with a camera that I have little control over.  Hard to get 100% accuracy that way unless it is obvious.  I guess we do the best we can with the equipment we have or the proficiency possess.

It goes about halfway around.  Does it have to go all the way to be a double ingot?  I'm learning.

Anyone think it could be called a flame?

On the right it looks like a MK Cub Scout IMO at .61.  On left not sure as it doesn't appear to have any cut lines so likely a swirl at .62.  The green Fluoresces a nice orange.

On the left a very mint slag, probably Akro, but thought might try for Pelt?  5/8.  WVS on the right and thinking Alley but not quite a flame unless it is. 5/8.

Would like to bump this one up to see if I can get any one agrees on Heaton or a WVS that can't be determined.

Wondering what the book you showed came from, Pittsburgh.  Is it available for sale anywhere?

Not in the greatest shape.     But my real question is an MCR counted as an NLR or just a rainbow?

Saw four marbles just like the one here for sale at Rick's Marbles on eBay.  Had this one in my unidentified WVS.  They appear a little lighter blue than my photo but the color on my marble is actually a little lighter than the photo.  5/8".
